Long weekend

We have a long weekend coming up as the end of the nine weeks. There are some continuing education opportunities for the teachers. In a way mine began last night. Bob and I took the old clunker truck out in the country looking for an address just off the highway. We were buying something from Marketplace. Over the years all of my doctors have encouraged me to add more exercise, and one of them mentioned that I need to find what I enjoy that is easily accessible. I like exercise bikes, especially the ones that you can use your arms as well. I find the help my knees have less pain. In the dusky early evening we missed it twice, but eventually got to the right place. The man selling it was very chatty, and that is okay. He is a semi retired accountant. When they bought their house, it was still full of furniture and belongings. He is selling it off. So I got a nearly new exercise bike for $15. It was too dark to unload, so it will wait til this afternoon. I hope it will be good for me. I think Bob will use it too. I hope to be around a bit this weekend.

I am sure it will. If I will use it as intended and not as a clothes rack.

@GardenGerty lol Until I finally got rid of it, that's what my treadmill was. Neither my husband or I was physically able to use it.

It takes looking and sometimes a little driving, but well worth it. Bob enjoyed interacting with the dog he had.

Wow what an amazing deal you got! I bought one many years ago and used it a dozen times or so and eventually needed room for things I actually would use and sold it.

You are out and active a lot, maybe you do not need one. If I am not at work or shopping I am purely sedentary. I am giving up some space in order to get healthier.

That was an excellent deal. I have thought about getting one. I think I would use it more than the treadmill that I bought

You might. If I had the room I would have a treadmill too, but for me this bike, because it also works your arms, is a better choice.

That sounds a really good buy. We have this sort of equipment in the clubhouse but we don't often use it.

I used to have gym memberships, and could have one today but that involves spending time and money traveling to get to one. I need it in my house and then I will use it. I know from experience that it is good for my knees.
