Early start …..too early as it happens !

So it’s the weekend for the Grandkids which means an early start. Granddaughter had to be at dance for 8.30 then Grandson at football for 9.
The Mister and I were up ….i was also awake !
The Mister was trying to get Granddaughter up … she’s not very happy about that ! Her Mom was on the phone…..” oh she hasn’t got to be there til 11 “
This happened a few weeks ago when we had snow ….they knew the night before she didn’t have to go but no one said anything ….resulting in us getting up one and a half hours before we needed to.
Why can’t people just tell you what’s going on.
Gggrrrr !
Sorry for rant …I just feel we are being messed about !

I would be a bit miffed at having to get up early at any time unless we were on holiday when I enjoy getting up early

@Ineeddentures both dance and football obviously have many children in attendance , so obviously the times are set well in advance ….also if they are cancelled for any reason, weather, illness etc I know they do so in good time ….its just the info goes to Mom …..I think they should have our number too and let us know…….OR ….she could just pull her finger out and tell us as soon as she finds out !

I think you are justified in being annoyed. They need to keep you updated if you're expected to get the kids to these things.

Thank you, sometimes The Mister thinks I am over reacting …..although he wasn’t best pleased at having to get up so early when there was no need. He is still off work for another week but when he’s back he works away, long hours , and often has a long drive back on a Friday …. Saturday and Sunday are the only times he can have a lie in ….we don’t mind as it’s for the Grandkids but it is every other weekend ! I just feel there should be more consideration and passing on of info ….

I agree. I am going to be asking from now on …..unfortunately she is the sort of person to tell you something before checking so often info gets changed anyway …. It drives me crazy !
