We had a bit of time this morning inbetween dropping the Grandkids off at their dance/football and picking them up, so we decided to go to the farm shop.
Mom had asked us to get a few things as she couldn’t go shopping last week because of the snow and we were away.
Anyway, we got a beautiful cauliflower, a Spanish onion ( sometimes known as Cannonball onion ), and potatoes.
Do you use farm shops ? Or big stores ?

@Traceyjayne They have them in the main part of town here and there are a lot of vendors. I like to walk around and check everything out first then decide what I want.

We don't have any farm shops close to us. We buy everything, normally, at a Walmart Super Center. Once in a while, if we're driving to Springfield for a specialist appointment, we'll stop at discount grocery stores and see if they have anything we want to buy. (We're talking about doing that in the morning (Monday) since I have a specialist appointment up there. We shall see.)

I got a beautiful head of cauliflower last week and roasted it (it was delicious). I'm hoping I can find one again this week and make it again. I do love fresh vegetables.

We are lucky here to have Farm Shops by the score and a community farm garden as well so very little comes from Tesco or Lidl ( the 2.stores we have here)
But, Farm Shops are spoiling it for themselves by grossly over charging compared to the stores.

They had it made , they really did.
I went to one with a butcher and wanted a couple of 500g Rump Steaks.
£44 they wanted.
I just walked out, head shaking,
Went to Lidl, got 900g for £16

Usually just the supermarket, or the local Co-op if we just need one or two things. But I do also go to the local town market(s) for fruit and vegetables and cheese and sometimes meat or bread, if I happen to be in town on the right day (Monday in one direction, or Wednesday in the other!)

We don't have a farm shop nearby so don't have that option.
