Just had my Birthday jam doughnut…..

So, today I went to Lidl and using the app I got a free jam/jelly doughnut as my Birthday treat. I was going to save it until tomorrow but I just was thinking about it ….so I had it . Yes, it was as yummy as it sounds. Do you like doughnuts ?

Oh yes I love donuts I have done for as long as I can remember. My mother made donuts with hole. All covered in sugar with cinnamon Big batches I progressed to cream donuts , the two finger type , and then custard donuts and jam donuts. Dunkin Donuts, oh yes please. I was devastated when they shut Happy birthday

Thank you x Dunkin’ donuts are still trading ….. I used to make my own but havent for a few years now. I used to take them into my workplace when it was my Birthday ….

I do and I like jam/jelly donuts, too. Once in a while I can find jam donuts filled with apple jam in them. Those are my favorite.

@Traceyjayne It really is... Usually all I can find is raspberry filling. I'll eat those but they aren't my favorite.

We have plain or raspberry jam/jelly When I made the small ones I would roll them in cinnamon and sugar or just sugar …

So is today your birthday? Hope you have a happy day! I like the freshly-cooked ring doughnuts you get at fairs and places like that. I'm not so keen on the cold, jam-filled ones, they're a bit stodgy.

I LOVE donuts. My favorites are cake donuts with maple icing and long Johns with maple icing.
