Had subs for the first time in a long time.

And, they were wrong. Well, almost wrong. The meat was swapped. I wound up with ham, and George wound up with my Turkey. If he didn't have oil peper and vinigar on his, I would've just swapped them. But, he likes those things on his subs. So he wound up with a Turkey sub. It's a risk you take when you can't see it being made in front of you. However, for not having eaten a sub since his stroke, over two years now, he did well. If he's craving them again... I think we'll need to pick them up in-person and fridge his for later. We'll be headed to bed in about an hour, so this might be my good night discussion, too.

Where did you get them from? We have a lot of choices. Well not within an hour. We do have three Subways within an hour though. I get the steak or the chicken bacon ranch when I go to Subway unless there's something new. I add a bunch of stuff though.

We have a subway about five minutes from here. George doesn't like driving in the dark, so we ordered delivery from that subway.

@kaylachan Subway is good. I prefer Firehouse. Or we have friends who have a diner about thirty minutes away and his stuff is so good. Sucks they got your sandwiches wrong though. That's always a bummer.

@thislittlepennyearns It's hard to screw up when someone is being watched, but oh well. We took the risk. We like Lary's Giant subs, too. But Subway was a start. George wanted to try Sky's Pies Pizza , but they closed early, and their listing claims they're open.

It's great to hear George enjoyed his first Sub in over 2 years. We thought we would make our own so we bought baguettes and put them in the freezer so whenever we want a sub hey presto it's a.2 minutes job

We tried that, but it's easier to buy one already made if you're not eating it often enough. The bread we have here wouldn't survive long if you tried to freeze it.

@Ineeddentures Well, your bread is different from ours. We put way to much sugar in everything here.

I am a great sub fan but have no place to get them. Anyway to make it similar I have ham on hard roll with some tomatoe and splash of Italian dressing,

I haven't had a sub in about 2 years either. I could go for a rotisserie chicken sub with BBQ sauce! I'm glad George is showing an interest in food.

So am I. I am glad he was able to eat it, even if Subway Mixed up the order.
