Hello, all!
I got home from Bible study at church a while ago, but my computer's been giving me problems. It seems to be working for the moment.
Today went well, though it was my understanding that two of the ladies there were supposed to "train" me, and no "training" ever happened.
When I got there the kids were outside playing, and I was told that this was actually a vacation time, as the school I'm working at is a year round school and they have breaks throughout the year.
I wandered around watching what kids were doing, and at one point we went inside and the kids played with toys and stuff or did a project at a table. I was told that things would be different when school was in.
It started raining, and the kids went inside to do things like they were doing when I got there. The sun would come out and it would stop raining, and the kids would want to go outside, and I swear no sooner did they get ready than it would start raining again.
I got to talk with a couple of the ladies at different times, and they were both very nice.
My boss, aka the head teacher, gave me some papers to look over regarding their protocols and such. She said I didn't have to look at them at home like they were homework, but I probably will look at them at home, anyway.
When we were getting ready to go, I went out to the parking lot to wait for the pastor's wife, who said she'd be picking me up. Two of the ladies, one of them my boss, asked if I needed a ride, and where did I live, and when I said I was going to be heading to Bible study at church, they asked me where it was. I was almost going to take one of them up on a ride when the pastor's wife showed up.
We had Bible study, and now I am home, and I am tired.
The pastor's wife and I were talking about how I can get there tomorrow, and decided I could go so far on the bus and take a Lyft/Uber to go the rest of the way. When it's nicer I may walk (got to get those steps!), which on Google Maps said would take close to half an hour.
It wasn't a bad day, and I'll learn more as I go.
(one of the things on the protocol paper was that I'm supposed to have my phone in my "cubby" as they called it--so I shouldn't have taken the photo above--now I know--and I don't think I've been assigned a "cubby" yet [I noted when I was on my break that each teacher had a box on a shelf with their name on it]).
Tomorrow morning before I go I'll try to get today's mail (you're a bad influence, @AmbiePam
!) J/K.
"Good night" from here, and I will "see" you myLotters when it's tomorrow here in California!

The rain was a joy killer for the children. That can be so frustrating for the young ones. Your day sounds smooth. Take a good rest. Tomorrow is going to be better
