Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 37 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is just 44. Ugh.
I have work today as usual. I am not in the mood to actually start teaching a new topic so I'll find a video to show the students. It will be about Henrietta Lacks which is totally relevant to the next chapter. If you like science (or have interest in cancer) look up her story. Anyway it will give me time to finish grading the tests from yesterday.
I did get some decent sleep overnight but I'm sure I still will be exhausted today. I'm really struggling these days. I don't have any tutoring this afternoon. I need to make biscuits and scrambled eggs for the bake sale tomorrow morning so that's what I'll be up to. Easy enough.
What's everyone else up to today?

How did your appointment go? It's up to 47 right now. It's turning cold and s**wy over the weekend but then will warm up some on Wednesday. Biscuits and scrambled eggs sounds so good.

I have to run by a doctor’s for a test, but I had a migraine last night and don’t exactly feel up to it. I hate putting things off, but I might until tomorrow.
Henrietta Lacks story is fascinating. Tragic, but fascinating and vital to history, but especially medical history. Everyone should know about her.

Good morning. It is 55F in my part of Missouri this morning. Our high today is supposed to reach 70F by noon today. We'll be under a red flag warning from noon until 8 pm tonight. We have a strong wind blowing right now (21 mph).
My stomach is upset this morning. I'm sipping Sprite and may try to eat some saltines after while. Nothing else going on here, as far as I know.
I hope you have a nice day.

I'd never heard of her but what an interesting story. Something new for me to know about.
