I have just been out for a walk , I could hear the children playing football on the field of the village hall....it's the local under 13's ....they are very good and I try to support them whenever I am at the caravan. Just as I got there I saw an absolute mountain of pine cones that had fallen off the trees. I stayed to watch for a few minutes then I have returned to the caravan to get a bag ... I am going to hot foot it back round there to collect the pine cones .... I have a basket at home on my window sill with a few in ....it needs topping up. Also , come Christmas I can use them for table displays .... I'm ever resourceful ....

We have a couple of pine cones I picked up at the Grand Canyon when Pretty was 6 years old. I put them in with the seashells we gathered on the same trip to California.

Do you spray them with anything? I’m always thinking about little bugs that are on them. That being said, it does make for a cool decoration.

One year I painted a bunch gold and silver and put them in a clear bowl.
