Where to buy my coffee?

I’m getting low on Taster’s Choice instant coffee so I looked online to see where it’s cheaper. Walmart has it for $13.48, which seems to be the cheapest option. In order to buy the coffee from Walmart and receive free shipping I have to buy $35 worth of stuff (not counting tax). Otherwise I have to pay $6.99 for delivery. I added two coffees to the shopping cart and that wasn’t enough to qualify for free shipping. I then added two-pack Colgate toothpaste to the cart as I’m running low as well. I thought that would be it. But my subtotal is only $34.92. Eight cents shy of free shipping. Decided to check out Target. Target is selling the coffee for $14.29. I also need to buy $35 worth of stuff (not counting tax) to get free shipping. Putting two coffees in the cart is not enough. Adding the two-pack toothpaste, which is slightly higher in price than Walmart, makes my subtotal $36.57. Based on this, I am better off buying everything from Target even though Walmart is the cheapest of the two. There is no Walmart near me. Only Target. But even if I were to go to Target I’d have to spend six dollars getting to the store and back so it doesn’t make any sense. The stores near me that I can get to either on foot or by taking the free train are selling it for much higher than Walmart and Target. I’ve only ever bought Taster’s Choice coffee but I’m thinking maybe I should try something else. I wonder what else is good.

We buy the cheapest instant coffee but it's also the one we like.

I’m hesitant to try something I never had before as I don’t know if I’ll like it. I wish there was like a small sample jar but there isn’t.

Eight cents. Bummer. Can you think of one other small item you need?

It won’t be 8 cents lol. Whatever I get will be more expensive. At this point I’m better off going with Target.

I just saw a video on FB that said a 20-year-old person was shot in the neck by the Target I sometimes shop at. Don’t know any details as the video didn’t say it. All it showed is area where it happened.

Maybe just do an Amazon order. When it's $35, the shipping is free. Get two coffees and something else you might need and don't like to carry or take the bus, etc. to buy it. Sadly, these days it doesn't take much to add up to $35. You probably need to think about trying to stay ahead on coffee if at all possible, as it is projected to get more and more expensive. You can shop brands on there of things, and look for another option that could be cheaper, too.

That’s what I usually do. I buy it if it’s on sale even if I still have enough. Haven’t been able to find it on sale anywhere in a while.

@MarieCoyle I have noticed that with other items as well. Sometimes the sale price is actually what should be the regular price and then a discount should be given.

@lovebuglena Coffee sales are not always sales right now. But since you pay for transportation so often, if you factor in that cost it definitely makes sense to buy it online if you can get free shipping. Maybe get two of your favorite jars of Taster’s Choice and experiment buying one other jar of a cheaper brand as well . Often cheaper brands can be very good.
