I had lentils and mutton in a dish called dalgosht

Two of types of lentils, chanadal and arhardal are used to make a dalgosht. The mutton of goatmeat is cooked with onions, garlic, ginger and the lentil and the meat are mixed together. Some people call this haalim also. It can be eaten either with rice or with chapatis.

We eat quite a lot of lamb if we can get it on special. Goat meat isn't common here.

thanks Judy in India goat meat is most common. It tastes good with liver and bone marrow
