I'm Not Sure I Should Take the Time

To date there are 4 Shrek movies. My kids enjoyed them and I see where Shrek 5 is set to come out the end of next June 2027. Here is my question: Should I take the time to watch the previous 4 and see 5 when it comes out or find other fare? I think I saw part of one of the first ones.

It's hilarious, and I think it talks about al ot of being a good person and being a good people to others.
I can't stop laughing about the villain being named Charming... so he was called Prince Charming but not charming... hahahha the writer is very witty about it.
