Atlanta Georgia resident George Brathwaite was inside his auto on Wednesday evening when the roads in Atlanta were flooded due to the heavy rains that hit the area.
George at the advice of his wife left his auto that was in floodwaters to rescue a woman driver who was on top of her auto by carrying her on his shoulders out of the flood water that covered the roads to safety since George is a combat veteran who served in Iraq.
Employees with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDT) managed to walk through the flooded roads to clear a blocked drain so the roads could be free to drive through.
Georgia State Troopers came to assist George and the woman that he rescued from the floodwater.

She did well getting onto the roof of the car.
I wouldn't have managed to do that.
I might have drowned
Well done to those involved in rescuing her

I am in agreement with you that everyone is safe and sound after the rescue in a flooded road in Atlanta.

That is true since cars can be swept away in floods.

Most likely the rain come all of a sudden and the drivers were trapped in the floods.
