Hello, myLot!
First thing when I walked into work today I got a shocker.
"Did you get the email?"
Me: "No".
"They're shutting down our program".
Me: ?!?!...
Evidently our program, Champions, couldn't agree on the contract for this upcoming school year, so we're out.
There was a lot of talk about it this morning, and how we weren't supposed to tell any of the kids, and some people talked about looking for a new job.
The whole thing felt like a bit of a kick in the stomach. Thanking the Lord I went through the day okay.
I'm home a little later because some of us went to a school we'll be working at in a town about 14 miles from where I live for the 5-week summer. It's part of the Champions program, too.
I was told that the last time something like this happened, the parents fought for us and no changes happened. I've also been told that the Boys and Girls club is all for keeping people in their jobs.
So, that's what my day was like. 
I hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
