Got some lightbulbs delivered

I know that sounds boring but, well, they were delivered by my ex. First he texted me to ask if I had any bets I wanted to place for the Belmont tonight. (more on that later) Then he asked if I needed anything from Home Depot. Yeah I knew what that was code for. I told him lightbulbs and a hibiscus plant if he could find one. He brought the lightbulbs. The hibiscus not so much but of course that wasn't his priority anyway. Anyway it was good to see him. The cats were thrilled. It is funny because aside from Charlie the other 2 are pretty stand-offish with others. All 3 of them adore my ex. Adso who is the most scaredy-cat plopped himself onto his chest and started purring and kneading. What a nut! On his way out he grabbed the last of the Cigar of the Month boxes and the torn up and re-glued mandala that I made while I was on my spa retreat. He said "refrigerator art!" I said "yeah well you have no kids but you still have to take care of me". He smirked and said he'd rather have to deal with kids. People never believe that we are still so close. I'm so happy that we are.
