For several months now, our city has been trending among the younger generation on social media. Local tourists have been flocking over the city and contemplating of settling here. Why wouldn't they? We are called the city of love for no reason. It's a clean city with warm and loving people. You'll see smiles and kindness everywhere. No heavy traffic jam compared to other cities. You get to enjoy the perks of a metropolitan city and the peacefulness of a provincial life. You get to see the modern world and the old world both at the same time. Some local celebrities have already invested in some properties and are staying here quietly. Enjoying the city of love where they feel like being in another country and not in the Philippines.

We are suffering of over tourism in our area. After some famous actors bought a villa on the shores of Lake Como tourists flock here all the days of the year.

The people come here not because of the celebrities though. Which is a good thing. They normally come here for great food and great people.

@toniganzon - Lake Como is really beautiful and the food is also good, but many American and German tourists come to see George Clooney Mansion. It's so childish.

It is indeed. I'm fortunate to be born and still living in this beautiful city.

That’s nice to know but the more popular it becomes the more problems that might come with it.

I think once a place starts trending on social media, people become curious and want to experience the atmosphere for themselves. Sometimes one good video or recommendation can completely change how people see a city.
