Of course, it was my first day of Summer Camp in the town of Penngrove at Penngrove elementary. For one thing, I really like the layout at Cherry Valley (the elementary school I normally work at) a lot better! At Penngrove there are way to many inclines or stairs to climb/go down, plus the school itself is like a labyrinth. Seemed like every time I turned around I was doing something wrong/screwing something up. It was the first day--I had to remind myself of that. One of the things that went wrong (not my fault, but...) I was in the woodchip box and I don't know why there was a child behind me, but I fell over her and hit the ground (not on top of the child), and of course she started crying. Of course, it probably scared her. At the end of my shift, a parent showed me to the bus stop, for which I was grateful. A few minutes later a bus came by going the other way, and the driver called out the window saying something about a change and that no bus would be coming to the stop that I was at. So, I walked back to the school and called a Lyft. As Scarlett O'Hara said, "Tomorrow is another day." Hopefully it will go better than this one. Oh, well. At least I didn't accidentally burn down the school.
