Gary kasparov. Steady winner. But in the end they are both outclassed by the chesscomputer. That's the saddest part of all.

Kasparov ruled for a long time,which is a remarkable feat,in modern day chess. Yes,but computers are programmed to use their styles,like REBEL12.Thanks for responding.

Bobby Fischer was the eccentric genius who could have been what Gary Kasparov became. In short he never fulfilled the promise of being the greatest ever chess player. So i wiuld have to say Kasparov

Kasparov's reign as the World Champ was quite long.It is difficult to maintain that!Thaks for responding.

I agree that Gary Kasparov's achievements are much better than Bobby Fischer's, Kasparov also won the respect of the world as a player and a person.
