Have you noticed that your dogs chews a lot? This could be because he is teething (just as babies do). Is there anything that you give your to dog when he's teething? I've found that my dog seems really soothed by an icecube, both when he's teething and during the hot weather. Do you ever give your dogs icecubs? Or is there something else you do for your teething dog?

You may want to try Nylabone and their products. They are good for teething as well. They might have a website I'm not sure. You can find them at Petsmart, Petco, or any other pet store. :)

You can also buy those plastic baby teething rings that have liquid inside that you can freeze and refreeze. Those can be used also and I have heard some people say that their dogs enjoy using them.

I don't have a dog, but my best friend does and i buy him the rawhides. Just to advise you on the ice cube thing, be careful not to give your dog too many because it will make their teeth senseative. My friends vet told her that when she said about giving her dog ice cubes, he said that once in a while it's okay but only like one or 2 a week.

Actually, Nylabone is currently having some legal troubles due to the safety (or lack thereof) of some of their products.
The item that got my dogs through this stage was a Chilly Bone. They absolutely loved it! It's basically a stuffed canvas toy that you soak in water and then stick in the freezer. When it comes out they will chew for hours and the ice numbs their teething problems.
You should be able to find Chilly Bones at your local PetSmart or PetCo or what have you. They're reasonably priced and good for many, many uses and they come in at least two sizes.

They have toys out for the puppies now that are like teething rings. Some you just put in the freezer and grab it when you think they need it. Others, just help to promote more chewing to soothe the gums and can even be filled with treats and stuff for them when they get a little older.
For the older dogs on hot days, they have a toy that you can fill with water. When they chew on it it squirts water in their mouths. I just found this one for my dog, can't wait til spring/summer gets here to try it out. I don't want to do it in the house for fear of water getting the floors drenched.

I don't have a dog now, but I used too. Try the dog bones they sell. Rawhid or pigs ears. They love them, and will keep chewing them.
