Was there a time you really thought you would die?

For me, it was when I was a child. My stepfather had a very bad temper and would get mad over nothing. One day he demanded we all get in to the car and he went driving up into the mountains like a maniac, way too fast for all those curves. I really thought to myself I was going to die that day. I guess it wasn't my time, we didn't even wear seatbelts back then.

Yes, when I had cancer 2 years ago. This was my 3rd bout with it. Luckily God knew I needed to stay for my kids. And I thank him every day!

Yes, when I was giving birth, and I really almost did. It was a terrible experience.

Wow, that would have been awful. I am sorry you lived through that.
As for me, when I was younger, about 19. I had a sore throat that would not go away. I had it for over a year. Tried so many antiboditics and other medications. Went to one doctor to the next. Finally, I saw a specialist. He ran a scope test on me. In the back of my mind, I was afraid I had throat cancer. Test came back okay. They couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually, sore throat did go away. Now I wonder if it was some kind of allergy. Funny thing is a few years later, I learned that my family feared I had cancer too. Everyone was afraid to say the word out loud.

Definitely my last bout with cancer. It was the 4th time I battled it and truly, I wasn't so sure I could keep beating the odds. Thank the good Lord that he saw fit to keep me here for my 3 kids.

When I was a child I remember a situation like that. My foster mom was taken me home from school one day on very slick roads. Anyway, we were going downhill on a curve and the started to spin. What made this so scary was there was no gaurd rail and it was a country road. There was also a very long cliff to go down. Well, The car(I think)stopped with the two front wheels hanging over the side of the car. My foster mom later told me that she was going to jump out of the car, but she didn't want to leave me inside the car. I know there were angels helping us that day.

Wow, I'm sure you really were scared, anyone would be.
When I was little, my older brother had a terrible temper. One time he got angry with me when we were swimming in a wading pool in the backyard and he held my head down in the water. I really thought I was going to drown. Luckily I was able to break free and run into the house but I was scared for a long time after that and locked myself in my room.

For me it would have to have been 2 years ago I had a gall bladder attack (never had 1 before) it hurt so bad in my lower chest I though I was having a heart attack. Here I had pancreatic gallstones and never knew it.

when i was 19, i underwent surgery for bleeding ulcers..my blood level was so low that the doctors said they were surprised i hadn't gone into shock that wouldn't be reversible..i honestly thought before i went into surgery that i would die...but thankfully, they got everything fixed and i eventually recovered...

For me, I also felt very afraid of being killed when I was a child. My parents were always afraid that the Soviets would find out we were spies and kill us. We lived life on the edge.
