are they worth the effort or are they just a scam were you don't make enough for it to be worthwhile?

I do make some money from them. I select pay pal as my payment option. I save the money I earn in there during the year and then use it to but Christmas gifts. I make about $75.00 dollars a year.

I personally do not think they are worth the effort, unless of course you have a lot of active referrals who are increasing your income. If you think it through clearly, if the money was that great then everyone with a computer would be doing it. LOL
If you do decide to do this sort of thing, then take into account how many hours or the download limit you get from your ISP. If you are using extra and it costs you money, then there is no point in paying out what you earn to extra fees your ISP charges.

Mostly it is a waste of time.I know of a site where you can earn 5$ on joining and 3$ for reffferals.Reading e-mails will get 2 cents and in a day you will get 3-4 mails.
