Okay, I haven't traveled much or gone to some far off place where I would need the knowledge. However, I love learning new languages. I speek a little Japanese, German, Norweigan, and Spanish. Now mind you I only know a very few phrases here and there, I'm no expert by any means. I just think it is fun. I buy the learn it yourself disks for your computer and then I teach myself!

Wow, Well done, Would love to learn a language too,not quite sure if it's lack of time or discipline.Norweigan and Japanese must be hard, oh and German tried to learn this in school and well no joy think it was the phonics or lack of them that didn't help.

I went to college in Hawaii and some of my house mates were from Norway, that is how I picked that up. I just have fun with the different languages. Thanks for the response!

I don't know any of them fluently, just a little here and there. I have a lot of fun picking up little phrases that I can say. Thanks for the response!

I learned a moderate amount of Japanese during my 4 years there. I can read and write Katakana and Hiragana but I never bothered learning much Kanji. I also studied French for 6 years but I'm a little rusty now. I can still read and speak it well but I would probably misspell quite a bit if I tried to write something.

That's great that you know a little of that many languages. I also love to learn about other languages and cultures.
