i posted a discussion similar to this, and one of the suggestions i got was to refrain from drinking coffee, and foods that are rich in salt.

I hate to admit it, but when it is bad CHOCOLATE. It is so soothing. I also use motrin for the pain. Heating pad for my belly, if I am cramping. I like to drink hot stuff like coffee, and hot chocolate. I also crave salt, but try to watch about eating too much of it (it causes bloat). Most of all, I try not to bite my husband's head off just because he is a man and doesn't go though this.
