We have known for some time that she needed sugery. I noticed in March a small growth the inside of her bottom lip. I told my daughter about it so she could take her to the pediatrician. She took her to him. He thought it was a skin tag and didn't want to remove it himself. He made her an appointment with a specialist. That appointment wasn't till August. In the mean time this small spot kept getting bigger. In August the day before her appointment, the doctors office called and tried to change it till after the first of the year. My daughter told them NO!! We have been waiting since March! They finally agreed to go on and see her. The specialist said it is a tumor. He said it is benign. Didn't do test on it just felt it and said it is benign. I assume he knows what he is talking about. The scheduled the surgery for December. It is now December. Her surgery is Thursday. The tumor has grown to the size of an M&M. She is a small girl so it is very noticeable. There are blood veins that you can see in the tumor. They aren't sure if it will effect the shape of her lips or not. She has beautiful full lips. You know the ones women pay to get. All my kids have them. The doctors office actually tried to postpone the surgery! She has teeth now and she is starting to bite it! No my daughter told them she didn't want it postponed. We have waited long enough. They are putting her under anesthesia for the surgery. I hope she doesn't have problems with it like I do. They have trouble waking me up from it. My daughter and I get to go in with her when they put her to sleep. We get to be in recovery with her till she is ready to go home. I will let everyone know how it goes on Friday. I won't be on here Thursday.

Thank you. Specialists are the worst. It takes forever to get in.

Tumor is somewhat dangerous because it can lead to cancer. I suggest you have to recheck it with other specialist. More dangerous because the patient is young. Also, anethesia is something to be considered also. Her young body may not respond well to the medicines. Better recheck and recheck before taking some major actions.
