Well if I want to spend time with my family it will be the same case with him with respect to his family.....So if he/she is my best friend then I ll invite my friend and his/her family to spend the christmas with us or I ll ensure that both our families can spend christmas together....so both of us are together and also with our families....if thats completely out of the question then I ll spend some time with my family and some time with my friend...

Well i think that both of them are important. But if one asks to choose any one of them then i will say that Family. I think that a family can support you more than a friend.

Well, I wouldn't think you would spend 24 hours with each, so perhaps it's possible to see both? Most of my family is in the same town as me, but Christmas Day is still spent driving from one place to the next to see everyone. If your family and friend are both in town, maybe it can be coordinated.
Also, you don't say if your friend also has family to see. If not, then why not invite your friend to be a part of the family celebration?

I would see if my best friend wants to spend Christmas with my family. That way I can spend the holiday with my friend and my family.

Im gonna spend my Christmas with my family. Its our family tradition to spend time together during Christmas. Some of my friends are also coming over to the house. My bestfriend will also be there. So i have them all in one place.

with my family of course. no question asked. my best friend knows this and im sure she won't go the trouble of asking me to be with her on christmas, because she's surely to get a "NO" but if my friend is alone for christmas, she knows she can always spend it with us.
