If you were born between 1946 - 1964 you are considered a baby boomer. So are you one?

Attending to the year I was born (1950) I should be considered a baby boomer, but as I was born in a country that did not take part in World War II I think the term does not apply to me.

I have learnt that after the war finished, people felt relieved and there was a "baby boom". That's the reason I'm not sure if I qualify to be one.

Well to me you were still in the boomer era. I always considered it to apply to anyone born during that era, but I may be wrong.

haha! I was confused about your reply glad you caught that. Well a baby boomer is someone born during hard times,1946-1964 were some of the hardest times and the population took a big leap so it is called the baby boomer era.

Oh, yes, I am one of those baby boomers. It has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Somehow it makes you feel kind of special. LOL

Yes it does. I never considered myself one when I was younger but now maybe here in the US we will get some recognition for being old! lol

I'm a Baby Boomer and wouldn't trade my experience for anything. I remember the JFK assasination, the Civil Rights movement, the British musical invasion of the 60's, including the Beatles, Watergate, Nixon resigning, the Disco era, drive in movies, bell bottom pants and everything else that came with being a baby boomer. What are some of the things you remember? Lloyd

I am certainly a baby boomer and my wife is a baby boomer as well. We are only six months apart and born in the early 50s. So we are at the retirement age very soon and travel is in the plans for the rest of our lives together.
