I just got this movie last weekend and watched it. I was skeptical since I had read the book. I didn't think that Tom Hanks would be good as the main character, but I was wrong. He was fantastic! I really liked the movie even though I knew what was coming. I was interested to see how they adapted it and was pleasantly surprised. What did you think?

I dont know, I was a bit dissapointed with it, it didn't seem as urgent and sensational as the book was. It seemed... flat for lack of a better word.
Though I liked seeing the sites the book was refering too.
Angels and Demons is apparently in production, that will be interesting.

I loved the movie. I saw it and then read the book to see how they changed it. I then read Angels and Demons, also very good can't wait to see if they make a movie of it as well. Tom Hanks did a great job at playing Langdon. It was almost like the role was written with him in mind. He just seemed to be so natural in it. I've watched it a few times since getting it and enjoyed it each time.

I have not seen the movie yet, although I do want to see it. I read and enjoyed the book. I liked Angels and Demons even better. I never had any doubt that Tom Hanks would do well in the part, mostly because he is such a fantastic actor. I figure he can do anything he tries very well.

I have owned the book for over a year now but have held off reading it because of all the hype (that really takes away enjoyment for me) but I did just watch the movie today with my husband and I WILL be reading the book as soon as I get a chance...I thought the movie started out pretty slow and was initially disappointed but then it (luckily) picked up the pace and I really enjoyed it....and in all honesty, the whole concept is really a very realistic theory..Could you just imagine if the truth ever came otu that the most famous tale in all the world, the one that ppl have killed over, the one that has dictated peoples lives for centuries now and so on really was a lie?!

I have read the book but not seen the movie and am not all that interested in seeing it either. I find that often I am disappointed in a movie if I have already read the book because producers and/or directors seem to take too much artistic licence and it isn't the same. So, for me the enjoyment of reading the book was all that I needed. :)

I read the book in one day and watched the movie the next day. I must say that, if I watched the movie first, I most likely would have loved it. The book was better. In the movie, the ending was changed around, the priest's character was improvised to a more contriverial level (probably to raise an audience) You could not really understand and KNOW Silas the way the book allows you too. He was screwed up from birth.
I loved Tom Hanks, but the female part was not my favorite.

Oh sorry but i did not like it. I was expecting too much maybe. I was hoping for some actions but i got so disappinted to see some lausy fights. Its confusing also and too vague. I read the Da Vinci Code but i can not even connect my readings to the movie. I think it was a flank. I like Tom Hanks too. But the movie... not good.

I've read the book and i love it.I've seen the movie too and it was good. But there's just so much details in the book that is hard to convey into films. And I think that Tom Hanks has done his part really good.
