Im curious, sing Mylot has a pretty varid base of Muslims, what ind of Islamic schoolf of thout do you follow?Which side of the political divide are you, Sunni or Shiite?
Any wahabi followers?
What about your Mazhab, are you following Syafi'e, Hanafi, maliki or hanabali?I consider myself what we call "ahli sunnha Jammah", the ones who follow Islam as laid out in the Koran, I follow no sect nor divide.
We're not many in the East, but the majority of Western Muslims (non-immigrant) and converts tend to follow just the Koran and credible hadith (sayings of the prophet).
How about you?

I consider myself as a salafy-moderate, much more like yours, 'ahli sunnah wal jammah'. Follow only Quran and genuine hadith. However, at some points I still consider also the teaching of a contemporary ulama such as Yusof Alqaradawy.

Islam is what is written in Quran and taught by our Prophet Peace be upon him, so it does not matter where we live to what family we belong... the thing that matters is how mucfh do we follow quran and sunnah.I think we should first make ourselves complete followers of what is there in quran and sunnah and then we should proceed to the firqas. However, I do believe all of them to be true as there is always a difference of understandings between two people.

The prophet of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh) came with only one Islam. Hius Sahabah followed only one Islam as tought to them by their beloved prophet. These sects are all a later introduction. Dividing and further dividing the religion. I belong to Ahle Sunna wal Jamat, follower of Imam Abu Hanifa. We believe all the 4 schools of thaught i.e. Hanifi, Shafai, Hambali and Maliki are correct and one can follow any of them. The only condiion is one should follow one school of thaught completely, should not mix them up according to his choice.
