What's the dumbest thing you did after getting divorced?

Shortly after I was divorced a salesman came to my door trying to sell magazines, normally I would just say "I'm not interested" and would shut the door. However, after being recently divorced and pretty vulnerable I allowed the guy to talk himself inside the house, (did I mention he was really good looking)? Anyway he was just complimenting away on how cute I was,etc. and he talked me into buying a couple of subscriptions from him. Unbelievably he asked me to kiss him on the cheek and I did!!

I was still a little cripsy from the burns inflicted by my husband during our marriage. I didn't start dating for another 15 years!

The dumbest thing I did was get remarried.....just kidding...
Let my ex try to stay in contact with me....
that lasted about a month, until she nearly drove me crazy, calling all the time, telling me the details about her dates and such....she was a real nut job...

Unfortunately there are too many "dumb" things I did and it would take too long to tell! lol But all the different emotions you experience at the time I think have a lot to do with your actions. (that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!) lol

Does being widowed count in the same category? I looked up addresses of people I had had crushes on before, and wrote lots of random letters. I am sure they wondered about my sanity.

Went crazy in the much younger men department... never bought them but rented them with all the options for quite a few times!!! lol
I would never do it again though. It was great... as a matter of fact very great... but in the end I felt like I betrayed my own morals. Which I did.
