I would suggest that you visit www.dpreview.com It is a web site for amatures and professional photographers. They have the best reviews I have read. I have a canon A530, a 5 megapixel camera with a 4x optical zoom. Very easy and very affordable. It is the camera that everyone compairs themselves to. Kodak is slightly cheeper and almost as good. I would avoid buying a bundle of a camera and printer. It is much cheeper to take your pictures to Walmart or a photo developing store. If you are going to be taking family pictures the A530 would be a very good camera for you. I have used it as a camera to take on vacation beacause it fits in my front pack or my pocket with ease. It should be fairly inexpensive as it is a year or two old but still one of the best consumer cameras areound. Another advantage is it takes AA batteries which are easy to find almost anywhere in the world.

Actually I am in need of advice for a good digital camera since I do not have one and would like to get one in the near future. I feel left out not having one since everyone I knows has one. What brands are good or what cameras are the best?
