I have started to work with fimo clay to make a new line of figurines to my website (www.sweetdesigninc.com) that is called Lil Sweet Tots. I am having so much fun with them I wondered if anyone else makes stuff with Fimo and what do you make? I have added a pic of one of mine that is not completed yet.

Yes, I work with polymer clays. I have made music boxes, ornaments and figurines. I recently bought a little oven from Joanne Fabric store that is made just for baking polymer clays.

I will be looking into the oven. I go to JoAnn's a lot lol. I am just starting out with my sculpting. Do you find any brand better to work with more than any other? I am working with Fimo right now.

I used to use Fimo but I switched to Sculpey. It feels more pliable and is easier on my hands. I usually just buy an old toaster oven from a thrift store and use it only for baking crafts in.
I've made beads, incense burners, doll faces, and charms with polymer clay. Some of the lighter colors can scortch so you have to watch them more carefully. I use foil to prop pieces up in the oven so they will hold their shape when they are soft.
I also want to get a pasta machine so I can soften the clay without wearing out my hands.
I know the JoAnn's add has a 40% off coupon in it for any one item. If you have that where you live you can save on getting the oven.

Yeah I got my oven for about $35 on a sale at Jo Annes. I like it because the temps only go so high and i can set a timer for how long I want to the clay to bake and the oven will shut off. No danger of burning. The oven is made by AMACO. My prefered type of clay is Premo Sculpey. It is easy to soften but is not as fragile as Sculpey.

Yes you have to keep working with it to be any good with it. I like it. But I also work with ceramics too.
