What type of tree do you prefer for Christmas? My husband and I have a fake tree because we both hate the mess a real one creates! Which do you prefer and why?

That is wonderful! Care to elaborate on why? You are the only one that has chose a real tree so far on this discussion so I am just curious as to why you prefer real trees. Thanks for the response!

I have an artificial tree also. They are easier to put together, store, and no mess of pine needles. My fake tree looks just as good as the real ones, and it is more convenient.

Very true, I think they look just as good also. Plus, you spend so much on everything else, why spend more money on buying a tree that you are going to just throw away in a month. Seems kind of silly. Thanks for the response!

Well, I am unfortunately allergic to Real trees, otherwise I would Love to have one every year. And since we have a small place my husband and I have never considered buying a Tree, so right now we do not own one period. When I was growing up though, we always had fake.

Yeah, my husband and I never put one up before until this year. Figured it was time now that we have a child. That's something I worry about to. My husband is allergic to everything so I am afraid he would be of a real tree to. I'd rather not take the risk. Thanks for the response!

As there is not much space in my house for a real tree which are generally big, i would go for fake tree only. Sure, if i have big home in future, i would go for the real tree because i dont think the fake ones can replace hte feeling of the real tree christmas celebrations.

I see what your saying, I'm just to lazy to pick up all those little needles around the house. Plus, I'm worried my son will pick one up and stick it in his mouth. Maybe when he is older we will try a real tree to see how it goes. Thanks for the response!

Fake is better because the one we have, it let's you bend the branches. Also, you can take the top part off and store it easier.

Very true! I like being able to bend the branches to the way you want it to look, and it is very easy to store, without having to worry about dumping it. Thanks for the response!

I have had a fake tree ever since I was little. I think it looks fine, although it can be a bit redundant from year to year. I wouldn't mind a real tree but like you said, it is very messy. I don't like messes, i like things organized. Vote one for fake for me!

Yes, it does get a little tiring sorting out the branches and getting it all together, however you can decorate it differently to spice things up a bit! I also like things very organized so I am there with you! Thanks for the response!

bringing home the tree - finding the best tree is fun
The fake trees are nice because one can keep them from year to year and thhere is no mess. We have done it both ways, the best is to go to a tree farm and pick one out. we have had the best time doing this, but they have gotten too expensive. So its the fake one again.

Our christmas tree - Our christmas tree
We have got a fake christmas tree because we have got three cats and they would love to climb in a real one... Here is a picture of how our tree looks:)

We prefer the fake ones too. Less likely to catch on fire or bring in bats or bugs. Plus, my cats would eat a real tree.

Fake definatly... I am allergic to pine. That would not be a happy holidays if we had a real tree in the house.

We've always had a fake one. I've wanted a real one but the thought of it scares me some. We may try a new one next year. I say that every year LOL
