Okay, this is kind of an odd question but I really am wondering. Why is is suddenly 'cool' for young teen boys to sort of hit on older men? They have the term MILF (mother I'd like to F*), will comment on how hot older women are, and so forth. I've had numerous young boys try to flirt with me and a few even approach me. I am FAR from a drop dead gorgeous woman but I present myself as very confident and very open. I think what attracts them is more like they know I don't judge and they consider me sort of 'cool'. I don't dress sexy or show anything I shouldn't. I'm not a person that acts like she's easy. I honestly do nothing to invite the invitations but it seems that many young men will still try to hit on me. My kids are teens, it's really disgusting to even THINK about them in any way other than what they are... kids. I just wonder why it suddenly has become an acceptable thing for today's teens. Look at how many teachers we've recently seen sleeping with their teen and even pre-teen students! YUCK! When I was a kid people my age were... well ... OLD!!!! lol Why has their view changed so much?

It could be perhaps that mothers are getting younger. When we grew up mother were 30 or 40 year olds. Nowadays they are starting at 16 or younger, when there children are ten they are still in the mid 20's. Society dictates the way we percieve things. Growing up we didn't have the internet and Mtv. We had Atari and the beginnings of cable Tv. The messages we recieved were different. I think nowadays it is more "cool" to bag an "old" lady, than 20 years ago when it was "cool" just to bag anyone. It is kinda like a points system I think.

I think part of it is because of movies and young guys like to emulate what they see in the movies because it's "cool" and trendy. I think it started with American Pie where the term MILF came from, and it's just snowballed from there. I know what you mean - I'm 37 and I took some college courses this past semester. I was in class with an 18 year old and he was cute in a little boy kind of way, but sometimes I thought it was strange that he was so friendly to me.

Sometimes it makes YOU feel like the creepy one when you're not the one coming on to them. But these young boys are barely even teens!! It's horrible!

I've only heard of guys saying it about women their own age or a little older--maybe guys in hteir 20s talking about women in their early 30s. But teen boys... that's strange, I wouldn't think they'd have even the slightest interest in someone who is just about their mother's age-- I would think that fact would creep them out.
