Chating and conference

Hi friends, I have problem with chating and conference. I am in USA, and my company has 67 branches all over Indonesia. I used to use chat to communicate with them. But whenever I try to use audio (like conference), the delay of sound is so long, it seem can be 20 second. How to maintain, and can I have solution while I still want to use yahoo messenger as my media to chat and to conference with my partners in Indonesia.
