Did you hear thet Peter Boyle (they guy who played Raymonds Dad on "Everybody Love Raymond") died today? He was one of the few actors left that could also sing and dance as well. He was a great asset to the acting community.

No, I hadn't heard! That's too bad - Peter Boyle was a very talented actor. He's done so much, and was such a wonderful and funny man. I'm sad to hear he's passed away.

Apparently he was sick a very long time. You would never have known it by how happy he always looked though.

In the last season of Raymond he was looking a little ill, I wonder if that was one of the reasons they decided to stop the show. You really can't have that show without Frank or Marie.

Yeah they could have done it but I don't think it would have had the same zest. It is one of the shows where all the characters add a little something and you need all of them to keep it successful. It is their interaction with each other that makes it funny.

I did hear about this. He was only 71 I thought it was sad as I loved watching him on Everbody loves Raymond he was one of my favourite characters on the show. I loved him in Young Eistein also as the monster I laughed everytime he danced to "putting on the ritz".

He was great in that movie. It is sad to see many of the talent actors like Peter passing and not being replaced by such great talent.

I did hear about this and was sad. I didn't watch Everybody Loves Raymond that closely. But I knew of him and knew my Mom liked the show quite a bit. Its always sad to see actors/actresses/famous people go that you get to know through TV/magazines...etc

I really didn't care for the show, but I did watch it occasionally. He was one of the funnier characters in the show. He was agreat actor. I didn't realize how much he had accomplished in his career until I read the article on CNN.
