Do you treat your pet as one of your family member?

I stll remember what happened a few days ago. I asked one of my friend how many members there are in her family. she told me five. and then i asked who they were. she told me they were her parents , her little brother , her dog , and she. of course, she takes her dog as one of her family member.
do you do the same?

My cat IS a family member (and he knows it, too!).
Why would anyone have a pet if they don't love them and take care of them as they deserve?

yeah , sometimes these pets seem to understand what you mean. but most time they do not know what you mean. anyway, they are lovely,and bring lots of plesure to you and your family.

I have a dog. I treat him quite well . but i never take him as a member of my family.
