Looking for how to create a map of recent vacation

We just finished a road trip from Toronto, thru Niagara Falls, upstate NY to NYC via secondary roads & highways, back tru Conn, Mass, Vermont and across at Thousand Islands. Wud like to create a souvenier map for our friends from South Africa. Any suggestions as to free mapping links?
