How to disable Flash Player in the I.E & Firefox Browsers?

How to disable Flash Player in the internet explorer & Firefox Browsers? I have been trying to disable it for long time but could not find it the settings of the internet explorer. I want to disable the graphics in the browsers to appear while browsing. Can someone tell me how to do it?
