It sure would help the parent vent the anger they would be feeling! Trust me, I would love to face the person that abused my son and do as I wished! But there is no guarantee that he would be able to walk out!
But at the same time, I would then be no better than he. Even though I would not be hurting a child, I would be hurting him. And I would not want that tainted action on my soul. It would change me. I think I am a stronger person not giving in to beating him with a metal baseball bat.
But it doesn't make me feel any better not beating him with that bat.
That is a tough question. I could not be held accountable for my actions if I were to be left face to face with the man that hurt my son. I think my best solution is what I have done, never faced him to never be put into the situation I could not control.
