Do you always think before you act?

Most of us act on impulse occasionally, but do you normally think through the possible consequesnces of your actions before you do or say anything? Have you ever had something go horribly wrong because you failed to think before you acted, or have there been times when acting completely on impulse has been a good thing? I try hard to think before I act but by nature I am quite impulsive, it would be interesting to hear how other people approach life, and whether you think there is an ethical problem with leaping into big decisions, purchases or activities without thinking it through first.

Sometimes I do but far too often I just act. I do what needs to be done and then wonder afterwards if it was the right decision. It's not like we don't usually have the time to think things out it's just I think for the most part I just want to do things and get it done. There are times though when I will wait and really think about things before I do them. It's not as often as I would like and I'm working on doing it more often but it' isn't always easy.

I am usually very careful with important things like big purchases or decisions. Sometimes you just have to trust your feelings though and do what feels right.
