When I was married the first time, we had lots of family reunions with my husband's family. He had one brother that always had the newest electronic devices, cameras, video cameras. We have almost no pictures of him without a camera obscuring his face. I felt like he used the camera to keep his distance. What do you think?

Some people feel safe when they are the picture takers. They can hide behind the camera. Few people run from the picture taker. They are an accepted part of any celebration and embraced with joy.
When behind the camera that is all you have to do. You do not have to join in conversation because you are busy looking for that great Kodak moment. You are safe. It is your shield.

There are some people who can't do without electronics or the latest gadgets. It may have been his way to have kept his distance, or he may have really liked taking pictures. I'm a huge fotog...and he may be that way also. Have you ever sat down with him and talked to him about it?
