kids eating spaghetti - parenting tip

I have 2 children that have developmental delays. Our son is 6 and diagnosed autistic. Our daughter has PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder). Their fine motor skills are thus behind for their ages. So, eating, writing, and other activities take more time and practice for them.
I made spaghetti for dinner tonight. I know the best way for some kids to eat spaghetti is cut up, in a bowl, and with a spoon. So, I put some on a plate to cut it up. I thought it would take a while. But, then I thought about my pastry blender (the hand held kind with like 4 or 5 prongs). That made it so much easier and quicker! It worked well for me.
I think little parenting tips are great and can be useful to many. Maybe this'll help some moms or dads (or any caretakers) out.

Good tip. Now if only I could get my daughter to try spaghetti. I'm sure she'd like it but she's so stubborn about trying new things.
