Working on Etsy.

Now that I'm home from the holidays I really need to buckle down and add some new items to my Etsy store. I hope all of you Etsiers did well over the holidays and sold a thing or two. It does take time to make items, but that's just the beginning. Then you have to photograph them, download, upload, write ad copy, set prices and all that. My daughter also wants to add new things to her store. She sold something and only has 3 items left. So much to do, so little time. And right now I'm tired from being on a bus/train 8 hours yesterday so I'm too tired to do much besides typing.

Ok, I have not heard of Etsy. Is this something like Ebay? It would be great if you could elaborate a bit on what it is for me, as I am clueless as to what you are talking about. But it sounds really fun.

Etsy is like an Ebay site sort of, in that you can post things for sale. You have a store on Etsy, and list your items and set your own prices. There is a small listing fee per item. But it's all about handmade arts and crafts. They also allow you to sell supplies. So I've bought some seed beads and handspun yarn on there. If you take a look at my etsy store you can see what it's like. Http://www.Pigglewiggins.etsy.com. They also have forums and a chatroom so you can get to know other artists. I'm trying to think of something to enter in their Upcycling contest, and the deadline in Jan. 15 I believe. Is anyone else here entering?

I have never heard of Etsy. It sounds like your daughter is motivated, that is great that you are teaching her work ethics. I hope you are able to get out of your tiredness slump and back to what you aim to accomplish.

I know this discussion is from a while ago, but it reminds me that I really need to work on some more items to sell on Etsy. I'd just really love to sell some more stuff before I add more things! :)
