I need help with neighbor and ex.. . .

I have lived in a rented house for almost 3 years, my ex and father to my 3 kids rented the house next door to mine in July -- we have the same landlord. My ex comes in my house with his wife takes my food, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, anything they want. . .I have called the landlord nothing has been done. I called the police, they don't care. I am in a lease until September, what can I do?

I would suggest changing the locks, then putting a restraining order on him, then I would also take him to court to pay for the damage that he has done to your home if any. He is your ex and has no right to come into your house. Check out legal aid or some kind of discount lawyers and see if there is something other that can be done about this.

I had a protection from abuse on him in the past, but I can't get one anymore because we have been seperated for over 3 years. The police were at my house and didn't do anything about the damages, they said it can't be proven that it was him. . .I will change the locks, also in the future I will be calling the state police and not the local police.

I would get a restraining order for neither of them to enter your house ever. I would also change the locks on the door and windows so he cannot let himself in. He has no right to enter without being invited. If you get the restraining order and he enters you can call the police and they will be arressted.

Can I ask how does he get in the house? There must be locks on the doors so don't let him in. If not then get some locks. Its got to be trespassing if he is accessing your property without your consent which is an illegal offence. Film him on a video recorder and take it to the police. Sounds like a real charmer.
