The "What Are Your Favorite Foods" Discussion....

I am curious what people's favorite foods are, and I am interested in hearing just what you would choose to eat on a particular holiday, or even on a particular day of the week. I have specific questions, so I am looking for specific answers, and some insight about what you chose. 1. Your favorite meal to have on Thanksgiving or Christmas? 2. What would your typical Friday night dinner look like? 3. What is your favorite type of beverage to drink with Dinner?

1. It's not thanksgiving or christmas without some yummy mashed potatoes and gravy :) My mom makes them with cream cheese and a bunch of other good ingredients, and only on the holidays do I get this special recipe! Of course, I love the pumpkin pie at the end too! 2. Friday's I try to go out if I can, but we don't like to go out to eat too often b/c of it's not healthy. So if I'm in, probably just eating mac and cheese. It's easy and I always love cheese! 3. At home, I generally don't drink anything until after I eat. I know it's weird but I don't want to ruin my dinner with another flavor. But at restaurants, I love getting ice tea or flavored lemonades... I'll drink about 3 before dinner comes and 2 more after ;)

I'm starving right now as I am waiting for my husband to get home from work for dinner! I had to laugh at your statement about not drinking anything with your meal because you don't want to blend flavors. I'm like that eating. I eat each thing served at once and then move on to the next. This used to drive my mom nuts!

Hi Kareng, I actually rotate my plate so I can eat one part at a time... finish the rice, rotate, eat the broccoli, rotate, eat the salmon, rotate... well then it's empty :) I don't like to mix tastes but what's funny is that when I have leftovers it's a completely different story. I'll take the rice, broccoli and salmon and mush it all into one big bowl, heat it and eat it :) Just funny how that works.
