suspension in schools

When I was growing up and someone was suspended we looked at it as though it were a vacation. We didn't realy care that our grades would drop because we didn't have to go to school. I think that suspending a child is not a solution to a problem instead I think that they should come up with another disciplinary action. I do however believe that if a child is bad enough to get expelled from a school then he should be removed so that they do not cause any other disruption. What are your opinions on this?

Though I was good at studies, I purposely never used to resubmit the progress report after parents signature. The teachers will suspend me from the classes for not producing the report card. It was an advantage to bunk classes.
