Getting ready for work. How long does it take for you to prepare for work?

This is for those who do not work from home. How long does it take you to get up in the morning and get ready and leave for work? If you work in the afternoon or evenings, how long does it take to get ready and leave for work?

Takes me a half hour. I work out of my home so I don't have to drive anywhere and I get to sleep in longer.

I wish that I could work from home and be able to sleep in longer and take breaks when I want to. It does not take me long but I know of people it takes a long time to get ready.

I imagine that I would be able to get up and be ready to go to work within 15 minutes, because I only need to get dressed and have a wash etcetera. As it is, I usually set my alarm for 2 hours before I am due to leave for work. This gives me ample time to get up, make a coffee and spend an hour or so on the internet. I can then have a good wash and get dressed properly without any urgency, and still go back and check my emails and so forth. If I am starting work very early, then I will reduce the time to 1 hour, but that is the minimum. I prefer to be fully awake before even comtemplating work, so the idea of getting up and going straight to work does not appeal to me.

i do the same thing as I set my alarm for 5:30 in the morning though I need to be at work by 8am. I have to consider my drive to work is a half hour and that is not including rush hour traffic. It takes me about 15-20 minutes as well to get up, shower, have breakfast and catch a little news or myLot. :-)
