My behavior to me usually seems to be that of a follower, but then I turn around and am surprised to see the number of people who are chosing to be led by me. I think I am somewhat of an unwilling leader. My sister says that is because no matter what I say, I always sound positive of what I am saying. I think it would be interesting to see how this discussion plays out.

While I am at work, i am considered a leader as everyone seems to try or do things like me. I try to set a good example for the people around me, whether at work or elsewhere. In some cases, I need guidance in some things til I get more familiar with different subjects or areas. I think it is possible to be both a leader and to be led, depending on the circumstances.

Usually in the area of work, I let my experience guide me, if I know that my experience has taught me right then I use this experience to show others how I do something, and vice versa, if a member of my team can show me something from experience then I let them do the same.

Hmmm I'm afraid I'm part of the sheep syndrome, baaaa I am not a leader only a follower, that's been my problem in life, if I had more control I wouldn't get myself into such a mess. I'm always looking for guidance from others and mostly I tend to ignore what my heart is saying. I'm a fool to myself. I guess its a confidence thing.

Everyone looks to me for guidance. I don't know why but they do. I tell them I don't want the role but they don't listen. I don't know if its because I'm so outgoing and friendly but I don't want to be the leader.

It really depends on what I am doing or planning to do. If I am going hunting or fishing I would rather be the follower because well I am just learning to hunt and I figure others can fish better than me. But when it comes to business office in a buyer seller that is where I will take the lead. In some computer things I will take the lead as well. If planning a party for kids I take the lead as well because I love kids and have been very involved in different kid things almost all my life.

A leader in some areas but follower in other areas .... on the farm definately a leader as I just get out there and do the work that has to be done ..... but when it comes to the house, family and other things like that I am definately one of the sheep .... hard to argue with a woman ..... they want to have the last word .... so often easier to follow that to try and lead.

hello wildguy!. i can say that i am not a leader material as it is hard forme to organize things and lead and guide my members.. usually when we have projects in school and i dont like it i just follow what they tell me and do what has to be done.. but when i really like a subject i tend to take in charge of things and i tend to assert my ideas and views.. these topics that allows me to use my leadership skills are rare and are not discussed often..
but mainly i prefer to be alone in projects.. i find that i fare well when i am alone and that my ideas will not be criticized and i do not have to explain myself. see ihave this thing about explaining to people.. i easily get annoyed when my point is not understood or when people really assert their views which only incites arguments and stalls the poject.. so id rather work by myself..
