You are 100% correct that some are cheats, they do not begg for money this their habbit or hobby. Today I read in our newspaper that some begger has 4 storied building in our city and many has shops and hotel but still begging. Some are real begger have no son or daughter or no home. Many are living inside a tent near railway and have kids of their widowed daughter.

The hard thing is knowing the difference between a cheat or a non cheat. Some people see Beggars drive away in a big fancy car, and assume they are rich. Some do not realise they that some are living out of that fancy car... and sometimes end up short on money or food in between their job hunting or delivery jobs.... So there is no way to know for sure... - DNatureofDTrain

I prefer to offer other resources as well, and I have, Offered food, money, and instructions... Money in small amounts is helpful, but I always ask them what they are going to use it for, and if they say food I will offer them a certain amount and let them choose an item and buy it for them... Is best.. - DNatureofDTrain

I will not give over 5 dollars to one in the street, unless I have met them numerous times. I will always give them instructions to the nearest shelter, library, and police station as well... - DNatureofDTrain
