Text OR Call???

Do you prefer to text someone or always make a phone call to them. Personally I do both, but I must admit texting is great when you just can't be bothered to talk!! I read Britney Spears dumped her husband by text. Wow! That is sad!!

If I am not in the mood to talk to someone I will send a text message. But if it's something important I pick up the phone and call.

Texting is great when you know someone who keeps you on the phone for hours! Thanks.

I personally like to do texting instead of calling. I think text messages dont bother the other person much and he can respond back when he feels comfortable. And also you can message what you cant say face to face. It is the best way to communicate.

You are so right. Sometimes I just prefer to send a message or reply when I have the time. Sometimes the phone will go and I will deliberately not pick it up as I know I will be on the phone for ages talking about nothing. Cheers!!

for me it all depends on the availability time and the person whom u r contacting. i certainly cant ask my professor about his class timings on text. But i can tell my friend to be on time in the sports field. thats how it goes for me.

although i prefer calling, i text to reach someone more often. here in the philippines, it is more expensive to make a phone call through a mobile phone. a single text message where in you can type in all you need to say, is worth 1 peso (converting it to 49 to 50$ per peso). there are also promos where in you could have unlimited texting for one day with just 20 pesos. on the other hand, phone calls are worth 1 cent (in peso) per second. considering that you need at least 3 to 5 minutes to have a conversation, that is already 3 to 5 pesos.

The phone companies must be making a mint from all us mobile users. Thanks for your response.

I personally never use text messaging. I don't even have it included in my phone plan. Any time someone texts me I just call them back when I'm able to. I treat texting more like a message like pager than a way to hold a conversation.

Thanks. Texting is definately not the same as speaking to someone, I agree.

I'm pleased to see that people still talk on the phone. Everytime I look at my daughter she is texting someone. Thanks for responding.
