Ever feel that enough is enough and you want to do something to get out of the pits? How did you save yourself?

By realising I had to save myself. If you lick your own wounds for long enough they become sore.

I agree completely. I think for some situations you have to 'physically' return to it/location et cetera, other there will always be a certain stigma that you hold.

hi lackingstyle, yes sometimes the revisitaion would means to confront the fears, pain and to find closure to a traumatic event in order for the person to move on. But sufficient support needs to be established before the person is 'well enough' to revisit.

hi lackingstyle, plus revisiting the 'pain' without seeking to resolve them does little at all to the situation. True friendship can help the healing process.

I turn to my best friend. She always knows how to make me feel better and get my mind off of what is making me upset.

hi raopek413, i acknowledge that it's hard too, but u know what, you have begun the first step and now you have have to see the next step forward. little by little , step by step.
Sometimes for me, its 3 steps forward and two steps back, but i kept going. I hope you do too.
